James' Philosophy On Life

“To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of fast friends.
To appreciate beauty.
To find the best in others.
To leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition.
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.”

Quoted from Ralph Waldo Emerson

My name is Jackie and in the last few years, I've felt sort of lost.  Lately I feel a need to reconnect with my spirituality and gain a higher understanding of my purpose here in this life.

I am a spiritual healer by nature - a life's work which has chosen me.  It's not what I do, it's who I am.  I embrace philosophies of many faiths and I seek knowledge and understanding from many doctrines.

I recently devoted my energy to initiating a contagion of compassion hoping to spread it worldwide.  By extending compassion to those in my corner of the world and to those who stumple upon this website, I seek to move the people I encounter to take one simple action - Extend compassion.

Join me in injecting compassion into your daily life, into your corner of the world, into the vein of humanity.

    No matter what your spiritual or religious beliefs, we all crave compassion.

My son James died on November 20, 2002.  He was 15 years old and everyone who knew him loved him.  Even to this day, seven years later, there are people who knew him very briefly who still grieve the loss of a bright boy who was never in short supply of compassion.

It is for James, the greatest role model for compassion and kindness I have ever known, that I begin my quest to change the world, one moment at a time, one step at a time, one act of kindness at a time.
